Beautify Your Bathroom on a Budget

by CustomHomes on Thursday, March 9, 2017

BathroomBathrooms are notoriously difficult to decorate, but doing so can have a bigger impact than on any other room in your house. If you want to impress your guests, make your bathroom stand out, or just want to change things up a bit, check out our tips. You can improve your bathroom without breaking the bank!

Spruce up Your Shower

Your shower is a great place to start with your bathroom makeover since things like shower curtains and rods are fairly inexpensive, but take up a lot of visible space.

To add some personal flavor, consider adding stencils to your shower curtain. With some stencils and water proof paint, you can add your favorite designs or quotes, making them the new center piece of the room. This can be used in almost any bathroom since you can source your shower text from whatever source fits your motif, be it Beyonce or Edgar Allen Poe.

If you want to add some class to your bathroom, consider using a curved shower rod. Not only will it give you extra space in the shower, but the extra dimension can really make your bathroom pop. In addition, using two shower curtains and using them much like theater curtains might be used, can be used to make your tub seem more grand.

Replace Eyesores with Themed Containers

Putting a lot of work into decorating your bathroom can seem pointless if you are just going to put an eyesore of a Listerine bottle on the counter. To keep your liquids matching the rest of the room, consider putting shampoos, soaps, and mouthwashes in alternate containers. Antique bottles, crystal decanters, and other more elaborate glass or plastic containers can allow your theme to flow smoothly.

Make sure that if you are using a glass container that it is not chipped in any way!

Creating Magic with Mirrors

Do you want to create an inexpensive but attention grabbing centerpiece for your bathroom? A simple modification to your current mirror might be just the ticket. Painting the frame of your mirror with a bold color can make it stand out for just the cost of some paint.

To make your bathroom appear more open or larger, placing small mirrors on the wall in a pattern will do the trick.

Using these tips, your bathroom will look dashing in no time. Good luck decorating!
