Fun kids roomsby CustomHomes on Tuesday, January 3, 2017
A child’s room is often their escape, their space, and usually the room where they explore their interests and ideas. Making their room as captivating and inspiring as possible can open creative doors for a child and help them grow into a comfortable and confident human being. Here are a few ideas for children’s rooms that we found. They can be simple remodels or complete overhauls. Whatever you can do and whatever you think is best will surely help your learn and grow.
Lego walls are fairly easy to install and can give your child endless fun and inspiration. You can order the entire wall installments online or you can create them with your own Lego’s from your childhood. From there you can have plenty of Legos in bins or on a table for your little one to use on the wall. We suggest taking pictures of the changing murals and masterpieces. You never know what tiny humans will create!
Like many other people of my generation I wished to find a magical wardrobe that would take me to a winter wonderland. Now you can offer this magical world to your own little one. If you’re building a custom home or remodeling your home it may be a fun idea to add an extra reading nook or small playroom to your child’s room. By strategically placing a wardrobe in front of the small entrance you can create a cozy and fascinating place that your little one will love for years to come.
A Rock-Climbing Wall
If your child is not into making masterpieces or reading in their own little hideaway you can also install a small rock-climbing wall. This is perfect for active children that cannot seem to stop moving or just love to challenge themselves. You can purchase a rock-climbing wall kit online, make your own, or have it installed by a professional. Depending on the difficulty and the age of the child you may want to have it professionally installed. This way you know it is sturdy and safe.
A Castle Fort
We all made forts with couches, beds, chairs, blankets, sheets, and anything else we could get our hands on as children. Imagine if you already had a fort in your room at all times? Castle forts can be small and collapsible or large and elaborate depending on your desire and your child’s imagination. You can have these professionally made or create them yourself. If you are remodeling or building a custom home you can even have the castle built into the home.
