Landscape Architecture Month, Natlby Kuhrich on Thursday, April 21, 2016
Using landscape architecture in your home can help create a beautiful home inside and out. Here are a few ideas for you to use in your home whether it is little or small. The beauty of landscape architecture is that it can be custom made for any space and need. Be sure to mark out very specific plans before working outside and to keep the outdoor space clean so when you begin building you will be able to work quickly and efficiently.
Planting native plants can be a wonderful way to decorate your outdoor space. To do so first find out what zone you live in for gardening. This will help you find out what days are best to plant, what plants will do well, and how to ensure the best life for your new garden.
Once you’re done you can do a little research finding out what native plants flourish in your hometown. Doing so will help diversify the ecosystem within your neighborhood and may make the garden easier to care for since the plants already feel at home.
Function Creates Form
If you wish to add a water feature or large pieces of lawn furniture in your outdoor living space, be sure you will use them throughout the year no matter what. While koi ponds are stunning and small green houses made out of old windows are absolutely charming, they do need a lot of work to become fruitful.
Switch out the koi pond for bee bath. This will help keep pollinators safe and happy which will help keep your garden looking beautiful. It is also simple and easily managed. Water the bee bath every day in the morning or during sunset or place a water pump to keep it constantly hydrated. Now there is less work and you still have a peaceful water feature.
Instead of a greenhouse you may want to plant a spiral garden. Spiral gardens are wonderful, simple gardens that look beautiful and are incredibly easy to care for. These gardens are wonderful because they are able to drain themselves and look like masterpieces. I suggest planting herbs in your first spiral garden because these plants are hearty, useful, and can take a little neglect. From there you can make more delicate spiral gardens and work from there.
Now go get some dirt under your nails and some sun in your skin!
