If your kitchen is large or small it can be difficult to organize if you don’t have any idea where to start. Here are a few tips to put your kitchen together so you will know where everything is.
Under The Sink
To keep all of your cleaning products under the sink organized, use a small shower curtain. This way, you can hang all of your cleaning chemicals as well as towels, dish rags, and other miscellaneous items. You can also hang a basket to hold invisible erasers and other small items. Everything will have a place and you won’t have to tear the kitchen apart every time you need something.
Pots and Pans
For storing pots and pans neatly, try using a dish drying rack. You’ll be able to store all your pots with their matching lids. You can also do this with Tupperware. This makes it easy to do meal prep or a large meal because you can take the whole rack out instead of each piece individually.
Your freezer is a great resource to preserve fresh produce, herbs, meats, and cheeses. It is a wonderful way to stretch your grocery bill and avoid wasting food. For frozen veggies, use a binder clip to hang them from the freezer rack. There is still plenty of room on top of the rack as well as the bottom. For herbs, you can grind them in a food processor and then put them in ice trays. You can stack those on top of each other to save space. For meat and cheese, use vacuum-sealed packs so they are less likely to get freezer burn and keep until you’re ready to use them.
Above The Fridge
If your fridge has a cover over it or is bare, there are plenty of ways you can use that storage space. Use magazine holders on top to store staples like sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt. Place the magazine racks facing the wall and then label the back of the rack for easy identification.
Magnetic Spice Rack
Magnetic spice racks have gotten really popular in the last few years. Often, it’s easy and affordable to purchase magnetic tea tins and then relabel them for your spices. This is a great way to have all your spices on hand without taking up a lot of room. Putting them on the fridge away from the oven will keep them from drying out or discoloring over time.
