It’s time for another Round-up. Let’s dig right in to some of the latest products, design tips and news that have caught our eye recently.
First, let’s talk about a new idea for wall coverings. Indus Parquet, who most people recognize for their flooring products, has also released a new type of exotic wood wall covering as part of their Wall Exotics line. So far they have 4 different colors available. With its mixture of color, dimension and texture these 11″ x 11″ preassembled, hand-carved tiles would look great on an accent wall.
For many people that buy an existing home, there are certain components that they wish were are part of the home’s interior, but would cause a huge headache to add or install. Fireplaces had always been part of that list until recently. Dimplex is a manufacturer of electric fireplaces. These units are a fairly easy and economical way to add a fireplace to almost any room. Dimplex offers units that are installed on the ground as well as mounted on the wall. These units don’t put out a huge amount of heat, but do provide a warm and active decorative accent for a reasonable price.
With interest rates still hovering at record lows, I’m always hearing people ask whether or not they should refinance their mortgage. This is a great article by Don Taylor of Bankrate.com that should be able to answer most of these questions.
