Weekly Roundupby Kuhrich on Friday, April 12, 2013
Time for another Roundup. I know it’s been a couple of weeks, but believe me, it was worth the wait. Let’s get to it.
A new product that Moen seems to be pretty excited about is their new MotionSense Kitchen Faucet. Basically, this faucet turns on and off based on hand motions around two well placed hot spots at the neck and base of the fixture. This could be a great option for people who can’t stand fingerprints or germs since hands only have to come in contact with the faucet to move the neck side to side or utilize the pullout spout. Currently, the MotionSense feature is only available in the Arbor, Delaney and Haysfield Collections. My guess is that Moen is testing this product out on the market to see if it takes off.
One of the most challenging items to select when decorating a room with hardwood flooring is an accent area rug. I came across an article written by designer and Houzz.com contributor, Melisa Bleasdale, called “How to Choose An Awesome Area Rug No Matter What Your Space.” Melisa gives some great advice on how to choose the right rug for the right room.
Even with the housing market gain a little steam, we are finding that homeowners interested in selling their house still need to be strategic and creative to get it sold within a decent time frame. In his article, “Top 10 Home Improvements That Pay You Back,” featured by AOL Real Estate, Thomas Kraeutler discusses what homeowners, who are planning to sell, can do to increase the value of their home in a ways that pay off. This is definitely a worthwhile read if you are planning to sell your home in the foreseeable future.
