Weekly Roundupby Kuhrich on Monday, May 13, 2013
Another week brings another Weekly Roundup (Usually). Today’s Roundup will be taking a look at some interesting products, housing news and design trends. Let’s get to it.
First, let’s talk products. For the DIYer that likes a little harder challenge than most, a product that has become really popular with many of our clients is the Nuheat under-floor electric heat mat. When installing a new type of flooring in your home, whether it be tile in the Master Bathroom or laminate flooring in the Basement Rec Room, electric heat mats can be a great source of added comfort. As long as you can get an electric line to the room, you can install heat mats. Check out Nuheat’s website for instructions on installation as well as some ways to get your hands on this product.
In the news, Zillow.com recently featured an article discussing the current trend of home values along with their projection for the rest of 2013. Based on their surveys of real estate agents, home values are expected to gain above 5% over the course of this year. For those of you that are thinking of selling their home or purchasing a new one, now may be time to start the process.
With so many more people working from home, whether full-time or part-time, home offices have become a necessity for many looking to purchase an existing home or build a new one. Claire Easley, a writer for BuilderOnline.com, discusses her take on this growing trend and also showcases a slideshow of some nicely designed home offices.
That’s it for now. Have a great week.
